Establishing what works for you and what doesn’t is all part of the journey you are about to embark on, but where should you start this journey?
Focus on What You Want to Achieve
To begin with, you need to think about what you want to achieve. If you do not set out with an end goal in sight, then you may struggle to achieve sufficient and acceptable change. So, what do you want to change, and what would you like to achieve? For example, are you aiming for a better balance between work and life? Are you looking to get a better job or a promotion at work?
Look at Your Life and Lifestyle Now – What is Missing?
After you have established what you want to achieve and change in your life, then you need to focus your efforts on establishing where the gaps are. Looking at your life and your lifestyle at the moment – what is missing? Are you working yourself harder than you should be doing and getting nothing (or very little in return)? The sooner you can establish what is missing, then the sooner you can start to take positive action.
Giving Back to Others Around You
If you are not happy with your life at the moment, then why not change it straight away by giving back to others around you. From friends and family to work colleagues and charities, they could all benefit from a little bit extra from you, so why not give it a go. You can make a big change to your life by switching up what you do. If you have the same routine going on everyday, then it can be difficult to feel that change is possible or achievable. Switching up what you do, when and why is one of the quickest ways to change your life. If you carry on doing the same but expect different results, then you will be left feeling frustrated. So, to stop this from happening, you need to look at making some switches to your everyday routine. The sooner that you can do this then the sooner you will start to feel and see the benefit.

You can never feel or even embrace change if you are not prepared to find a better balance. For example, if you are doing too much of something like work and not enough of something else – such as spending time with loved ones, then realistically, what change can you expect to see or feel.
