Goa's Pristine Beaches

The usual fare of sunbathing and long swims is not the norm here, where the multi-hued sand and colourful granite rocks are the main attractions.

 

Kovalam And Varkala Beaches

Scenic Kerala may be possibly the best in rural India. The adjacent, Paradise Beach is befitting of its title and is also known as Plage Paradiso. This beach is excellent for leisurely getaways, water sports and even seaside camping. Guests have options to explore the backwaters or watch dolphins when venturing out on a cruise in the sea.

 

Marina Beach, Chennai

Said to be one of Chennai's reserves, Marina Beach is one of the most long-drawn beaches in Asia, if not in the world. Although swimming is not allowed, Marina Beach remains to attract people on tour as well as the locals. Not too far from the city, and filled with statues of famous Indians, it is a respite from the hustle-bustle of the nearby municipality. Many travels to Marina Beach for hikes while snacking on favourite tidbits, even try some horse-riding by the waves or just have a relaxing time with family and friends. Beaches in this region of India are namely the Half-Moon, Kudle, Paradise, Om Beach which are located in the south of Gokarna while the Gokarna beach forms the town's coast, embracing the waves from the Arabian Sea. Being a temple town, it is not extraordinary to have temples and colossal statues of Hindu deities as background at the Gokarna beach. 

 

The Western Ghats, not too far distant also offers a refreshing and green background for Paradise Beach, which has a rocky terrain, similar to its nearby beaches. The waves along this coast are recognised to be very stable. These beaches do not give the usual idyllic sun, sea and surf but the isolated serenity of gazing out to the horizon, mainly when they are free from the masses of visitors.

Indian beaches may not perpetually provide secluded comfort of sandy stretches for sunbathing.
