I see that Clint gave a good answer. Although, I do wish to correct a couple points.

You didn’t specify the model of your printer, so any information given will be general and can apply to any make or model of printer.

Depending on the model of your printer, you can connect to any computer, via Ethernet, USB, FireWire, WiFi, Bluetooth, or if it is very old Serial or Parallel. These last two usually need special adapters and applications to set them up, so I will skip them.

As Clint said you can connect via USB. This is usually only good for one computer to one printer. You can share the printer over the internet or many routers have USB ports for this purpose.

If your printer only has FireWire or IEEE1344 or a couple other names, it connects similar to USB

The final two options are both wirelessly. Very few printers are Bluetooth, but it would connect like any other Bluetooth device.

I can’t give detailed instructions for WiFi since you didn’t supply model numbers. But, on most models you will find WiFi setup on the settings screen or a special button. Look for the WiFi logo.

It is critical to note down the SSIS and system key before associating with a Brother printer. We will enable you to take care of the issues of investigating. So here's a simple method to interface to connect Brother printer to mac.

Above all else, evacuate the intensity of your Brother printer from the electrical plug. Unplug the link of the interface, as well.

Pursue the on-screen bearings to download the driver.
Reboot your printer so the recently introduced driver is perceived.

Only two ways: Ethernet or USB. I personally put printers on Ethernet, but I just gave an extra laser with a USB cable to someone.

If you have two Macs on Ethernet, and the printer only has USB, you can connect the printer to one of them, then “share” the printer so that both can use it, in System Preferences. I have done this on occasion.
