What is ITIL?

ITIL is a library that outlines and describes best practices for delivering IT services or where it is to be explained from beginning to end.


ITIL has gone through many amendments in its history and currently consists of five books, each containing various procedures and stages of the IT Services Manual:

Service strategy

Service design

Service transition

Service operation

Continual Service Improvement

ITIL, currently ITIL v3, focuses on business and IT integration, and ITIL certifications can be explained at five levels. This is an organized approach that will help the IT Services Business. ITIL Level for Certification

The system in which you can use the qualifications in credit is the field of ITIL. In this system, the module of qualification is in terms of Credits. All types of ITIL and ITIL related qualifications are assigned a specific credit value within the ITIL credit system. These credits are the steps to reach a higher level of ITIL. Ultimately, a total of 22 credits are required to obtain the ITIL Expert certification. The ITIL Master qualification has a different set of requirements; Candidates must be ITI Expert Certified even before attaining ITIL Master Status.

The ITIL Foundation, which consists of 2 credit candidates, consists of 40 multiple-choice questions. No further conditions are required to take this exam. It deals with key elements, concepts, and terminology associated with ITIL service lifecycle management.

The ITIL Practitioner was added in July 2016 and collects 3 credits to candidates towards their ITIL Expert Certification. This is considered the next step after the ITIL Foundation, which is a prerequisite. The middle level of ITIL is for the students who have already cleared the exams of ITIL Foundations or for those who have done a certified course of Training of ITIL. The intermediate level includes two avenues: service lifecycle with five exams (service strategy, service design, service transition, service operations, and continuous service improvement); and service capacity, with four examinations (plan protection and optimization, release control and accreditation, operational support and analysis, and service offerings and agreements).

  To achieve the expert level of ITIL the candidate has to go through with MALC which stands for ITIL Management across the Life Cycle this is for the candidate who has come up with credit 5 which is needed to pass the ITIL Foundation Examination. To clear this level a candidate needs a minimum of 17 credits. Total no. of credits is to need to clear an ITIL expert level is 22 which includes the credit of all levels including Foundations stage, Middle stage, a MALAD level as well.

 

For the ITIL Master qualification, the candidate must be already ITIL specialist-level qualified. To obtain the ITIL Master qualification, candidates must "select and personally apply knowledge, principles, methods, and techniques from ITIL and supporting management techniques to achieve desired business outcomes in one or more practical assignments", It has to be clear and justified. "

When a candidate completes the given level of ITIL examination, he is given a certificate and credit. Each level of certification has its own requirements, all of which include earning a specific number of credits.

 

Cost of ITIL Certification
 

To register yourself for the ITIL exam is $150 to $500 as per the decided by the board of location. You can go for self-study which is highly suggested by the expert. Different institutions who take online classes and sitting classes have different fees structure. The training of your course which includes classes and registration fees can go up to $500 to $1000.
