Troubleshooting Brother printer, not printer error

Check for the paper jam

Paper jamming is the most common error in old Brother models. This error mainly appears on DMPs but you can get paper jamming on other printer models also. The printer gets into a paper jam state when a paper tears up and is stuck inside the printer. When the printer gets into a paper jam, open the access door. Take out the cartridge and remove the paper. Reinstall the cartridge and align all the pages on the input tray correctly. Again give a print command from your PC and check whether your error gets resolved or not.

Check the printer driver

If you are getting the Brother Printer is in an Error State on the screen then you must check the printer driver. If the printer driver is outdated then you have to install the update. In case the printer driver files get corrupted then you need to repair the files. Edit the driver files only when you have technical knowledge. If not, uninstall the printer driver from your device. Remove all the Brother printer driver-related files. Open the internet browser and reinstall the driver on your device. Now open a document and give the print command. If your Brother printer is showing the same error message then you should contact the Brother technical team for help.

Refill the ink cartridge

Your printer will give you printing errors when your cartridge is empty. Check the ink level on your printer. If the cartridge is empty then replace it instantly. Purchase an original Brother printer cartridge and install it. In case the cartridge seems costly then you can go for cartridge refill. You have to purchase good quality ink for the printer. Now cover your nose and mouth and take out the cartridge. Open the ink drum and refill the ink. Close the lid of ink drums tightly and then shake it well. Install the cartridge and take a printout from your Brother printer.
