Bird Market
If you want to enjoy Qatar's authentic traditions, be sure to check out the local bird market. It is here that you can understand the importance of falconry in the life of the Qatari people.
It is best to come here on Thursday nights when hundreds of people flock to the market, searching for the most potent hunting hawk.
Most of these graceful birds sit quietly blindfolded on the railing while owners and buyers discuss the intricacies of falconry.

Mosque of Imam Mohammed ibn Abd al-Wahhab
Qatar's National Mosque is the largest in the country. It is distinguished by an impressive architectural design, thanks to which the mosque resembles a colossal fort with dozens of domes on the roof. At night, these domes are illuminated with bright light, so they can be clearly seen from high buildings in Doha for tens of kilometres.
The large white prayer hall of the mosque can accommodate up to 30,000 worshipers. The floors are covered with red carpets, and the hall itself is lit by relatively simple chandeliers.
Tourists are not allowed to visit the mosque during prayers, and the visit itself must be booked in advance via the internet or one of the local travel agencies. It will also be useful for you to know that anti-Jewish and anti-Christian sermon was held here.
