Banana Island

This marvellous crescent-shaped island with blue waters, tropical plants and 800 meters of golden beach is a must-see even for those not planning to check into one of its luxury hotels. It can be easily reached by boat.

The island has 6 restaurants serving everything from traditional Middle Eastern dishes to any masterpiece of Italian cuisine. As for entertainment, segways, diving, bowling, and riding artificial waves await you here. Of course, you will also have the opportunity to sunbathe.

Talia Mare Club

Talia Mare is one of the best hangout spots in Doha, located on a pretty beach surrounded by trendy houses, and its atmosphere and music are somewhat reminiscent of the famous Mambo in Ibiza.

Installation "7" by Richard Serra

This is the first of two works by famed artist Richard Serra, commissioned by the Qatar Museum Authority. This 24-meter block of metal stands near the Museum of Islamic Art and is clearly visible from different city points.

Mosque of Imam Mohammed ibn Abd al-Wahhab

Qatar's National Mosque is the largest in the country. It is distinguished by an impressive architectural design, thanks to which the mosque resembles a colossal fort with dozens of domes on the roof. At night, these domes are illuminated with bright light, so they can be clearly seen from high buildings in Doha for tens of kilometres.

The large white prayer hall of the mosque can accommodate up to 30,000 worshipers. The floors are covered with red carpets, and the hall itself is lit by relatively simple chandeliers.

Tourists are not allowed to visit the mosque during prayers, and the visit itself must be booked in advance via the internet or one of the local travel agencies. It will also be useful for you to know that anti-Jewish and anti-Christian sermon was held here.

Espee Park
