Minds started believing all answers are in google. Even if it is not completely true, we can at least ask any questions to google. When i was thinking about career and choose something related to my education, I couldn't relate because I already forgot all that I learnt in my school, ug and pg even though scored a distinction.
Minds started believing all answers are in google. Even if it is not completely true, we can at least ask any questions to google. When i was thinking about career and choose something related to my education, I couldn't relate because I already forgot all that I learnt in my school, ug and pg even though scored a distinction. I asked google why are there so many Entrance Exams and it came up with an answer from quora which goes because there are a lot of idiots wanting to do engineering.
As soon as I saw the response, I bursted out in laughter, myself being an Engineer with a Master’s degree. To some extend its true that most of us are idiots that we sacrifice our dreams to satisfy the society and for the fear of failure. We intention for studying to get the signature in our progress report then turned to studying just to crack a Sarkari Exam and get a job. Finally we end up doing what we don’t want to do and we totally forget what we want to do.
Exit Formulaic Books:
You can never get away with education. And wait, did you ever think about why do you even want to get away from education when it is just doing the noble work of imparting knowledge. You are wanting to escape from education because we are bombarded with too many stuff in the name of knowledge. We are forced to accumulate all the knowledge from math to history and to puke out in the paper. There is no way to study what you want to know basically. So you become tired of taking up all the texts from that piled up books in your brain and you just want a way to escape. Education sector should work on it and bring up a new curriculum where students can study what they want to. Education should be focussed on deep learning methodologies.
Exit Stereotypes:
In India stereotyping is an unsolved mystery. If someone becomes a doctor and earns well, everyone wants to become a doctor. When there is a boom in the IT industry everyone ran after IT. Once there is recession in IT people found bank jobs to be the best. The real thing is that there is no better job. It's time to avoid stereotyping and stapling something as best. When you do your best, you can shine in any job. You would love the job when you do what you ever wanted to do and you will do the best. Today we see a need everywhere. One can earn well in any field if they are talented and skilled. So it's just that you have to wisely choose the field and get the necessary skills. Education sector should be ready to take up the necessary steps to bring out and improve the skills and talents of students.
Exit Failure:
We get to see atleast one suicide in the newspaper or google news or when we scroll down the facebook page. The maximum of suicide cases are from the age group of 15 to 35. Its traumatizing to know more than 80% of victims are highly educated. Schools are busy teaching the subjects and pushing the students to believe that 99 percent of marks is the only way to live. Now students get 99 percent and even get into IITs. After that they are doomed. Children in the very early age get into depression and attempt suicides because they fear failure. Education sector should take up good improvements in the child’s life by taking away the fear of exam. Everyone should understand exam is to evaluate how much they know. Exams never determine the success of a person.
Conclusion:
Even if the government and education sectors fail to design a perfect curriculum We need to start the process taking up the stand and the first step for a revolution. We just have to exit all the barriers pushing aside all stereotypes, fears, pressure etc and strive to excel in what we meant to do. It's not about the board exam or Entrance Exam or Sarkari Exam. It's only about you and what you want to become and what you contribute to the society.
