Itraconazole comes in the form of a tablet, capsule, and an oral (liquid) solution. While treating fungal infection for toenails, the medicine should be taken for at least once a day with a full meal. If you are taking itraconazole for treating fingernails, only then the capsule is usually taken two times a day after full meals. 

If you are taking an oral solution then it has to be taken once or twice a day for usually 1 to 4 weeks or sometimes longer.
