AI Will Improve Our Existing Jobs and Create New Ones

It is recommended to upskill or reskill oneself with AI certifications and accommodate the evolving technology world and flourish in our career life.

The dominance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in business is gushing and inevitable. It is transforming the ways business operates in extensive ways. It is automating manual tasks, speeding up repetitive tasks and other preliminary processes involved in recruiting, customer services, operations, and many more.

Gartner predicts that AI might handle 69% of routine work currently performed by managers by 2024. Though this is a welcoming note of technology benefits, it has instilled a fear in human beings in terms of job security.

Many job owners fear that their job might get snatched away by these machines one day. However, the truth is that it is assisting professionals in making their jobs easier and giving enough room for research tasks while freeing them from mundane tasks. They are meant for job augmentation and not job replacement. AI will redefine jobs but will not remove jobs.

Let’s see how.

CEO Sebastian Thrun says that Artificial Intelligence is a humanities discipline. It is nothing but an attempt to understand human intelligence and human cognition.

True that AI professionals are training machines to mimic human behavior. AI can learn specific actions and algorithmic decision-making. But it always lacks human aspects like motivations, emotion, compassion, warmth, and love.

AI is rule-based and tasked to solve specific problems. It cannot deal with unknowns, explore unobserved spaces, solve unencountered problems, or plan complex objectives. AI has its limitations and risks. Also, people prefer and trust humans over machines.

AI can never replace human jobs; it can make human jobs better. While some businesses may attempt to automate everything that can be, smart enterprises will strike the right balance between humans and machines. In reality, more employers (87%) will increase or maintain their workforce numbers due to automation, as per ManpowerGroup reports via TechRepublic.

AI augments our job:

AI is not a job eliminator. Businesses can rely on AI and machine learning to improve their performance.

For instance, AI transforms the way customer service by giving space for unprecedented access to analytics. AI technology analyses the phone calls, determines the tones, direct calls to appropriate agents, provide personalized services, inform agents about call history and purchases. This information helps the customer service agents to better serve their customers while increasing the speed of their services.

AI analyses sales calls, develop marketers’ content strategies, email marketing playbooks, and makes the marketing job better. HubSpot co-founder and CTO Dharmesh Shah says that bots and AI will make our jobs better and more secure. It makes our jobs easier, more effective, and data-driven.

As AI starts taking up manual and repetitive tasks, the middle-wage jobs will start to change with associated skills. It is an opportunity to upskill oneself to use machines for the job.

AI creates new job opportunities

AI is creating new job opportunities like AI engineers, AI developers, AI architects, AI trainers, AI explainers, Machine learning engineer, Data mining, Data analysts, and many more. AI will help companies scale-up, create worldwide employment with AI maintenance jobs, AI facilitator jobs, AI and digital assistants, AI in industries, and many more.

AI is a catalyst and smarter organizations and their workforces are embracing its power. They are using it in recruitment processes, customer services, operations, and other divisions of the organization.

World Economic Forum (WEF) reports that nearly 50% of the full-time workforce will shrink but create new positions. LinkedIn has more than 28,000 jobs on offer in the EU. For AI to function properly, the new positions will require additional skills. The new employees will be expected to manage the interface between technology and humans.

However, these changes are happening at are relatively slow rate, giving us ample time to adjust. So, it's our call to reskill or upskill ourselves and elevate our job levels. We can opt for the best AI certification available and get ready for the evolving job changes and its associated challenges.

Likewise, new enthusiasts can look forward to establishing their career in AI by earning one or more best AI certifications.

To summarize…

Humans alone can understand and are accountable for inter-relational dynamics, organizational culture, politics, moods, strategic visions, and much more. Innovations need innovators. We are bound to learn new technologies to level up our skills and stay in pace with the changing world.
