  6. Electrical Elements: This part of your system may be a little trickier, but it’s where most problems start. Check for a tripped breaker or dead batteries in your thermostat if something isn’t working properly.
  7. Coils: It is usually found as part of the outdoor unit helps in cooling the air as it passes through with the help of the refrigerant. Check your coils once a year. You can check your filter and/or refrigerant levels if they freeze.
  8. Compressor: It is an important part that converts refrigerant from a gas to a liquid and sends it to the coils as part of the outdoor unit. Check your compressor if something isn’t working properly. Many system failures are caused by this.
