May is the month to celebrate the 2019 Hot Sale
The Mexican Online Sales Association, my top compares is in charge of organizing the 2019 Hot Sale, an event in which five out of 10 online consumers plan to purchase a product , according to the Purchase Intention Report.
In addition, half of online shoppers will begin to search and compare the products they hope to buy during this 5-day day of offers and discounts, in which eCommerce will manage to increase their customer base.
This year AMVO expects sales during the 2019 Hot Sale to reach 11,000 million pesos , which will mean an increase of 28%, a percentage deceleration compared to the 2018 edition in which it increased 75%, from 4,888 million pesos in sales in 2017 to 8,557 million.
Despite this , the average purchase ticket is expected to increase from 1,350 pesos in the 2018 edition to 5,000 pesos during the 2019 Hot Sale . Since its creation, the Hot Sale has generated 7.7 million new online consumers in the Mexican market. In the 2018 edition alone, 11.6 million items were commercialized.

2019 Hot Sale consumer profile
According to AMVO, the majority of consumers in this discount day are men (57%) between 25 and 44 years of age, and two thirds of them live in Mexico City and in the Centro-Bajío area.
Regarding the most purchased products during the Hot Sale, fashion (51%), electronics (39%), travel (34%) and cell phones (32%) stand out.
