Meet Shawn Surani touted by many as Atlanta’s youngest CEO and Entrepreneur. Shawn has made his career off providing unbeatable value at unbeatable and unbelievable costs, he has worked with many companies as an intern and advisor, his skill is undoubtedly his ability to add value to anything he puts his hands on. But now he has become successful at one of his hardest challenges yet. Becoming one of the biggest real estate tycoons the state of Georgia has seen slowly but surely. Third-party projections show Shawn’s company is projected to be well over 7 figures in liquid assets by 2021. Shawn also prides himself on advising many millionaire investors as well as always looking out for his personal investors over anybody including himself. “When it comes to investors I treat them above myself. At the end of the day, they have given me there an ultimate vote of confidence by giving me their hard-earned money.” He says

What is your entrepreneur’s story? How did you come about building your business?

I started my first company when I was 11 years old proceeded to start another company at 13 and a real corporation at 15. Sold that company now, own my real estate company at the age of 16, I’ve always been a hustler. Since a young age, I always wanted to succeed. It was never about the money it was about the feeling I got when I was winning.

My business story is an interesting one. I first started going to sneaker conventions in downtown Atlanta. My father had given me 500$ and I told him by the end of the day when I get home I would return with a profit. I purchased 3 shoes within the first hour of the event then proceeded to walk to a nearby college and sell the 3 shoes I got for 500$ for 1,500$. And that’s how my entrepreneur journey and my first small business firekicksatl was born. As a 12-year-old, I was making more money than my friend’s parents simply buying shoes and selling them. At 13 I found myself with a deep passion for watching sports but I did not want to spend thousands of dollars per game to get the best seats in the stadium. I knew there had to be a way for me to watch these games without paying the price. This is where Firetixatl was created. I proceeded to make deals with Mercedes Benz stadium, State Farm arena and SunTrust park to buy tickets at wholesale prices and sell the tickets for the resale value. I began purchasing 50 tickets at a time per event and making 100$ per ticket per event quickly I was making 6 figures by the age of 14. This led me to great heights as I got to meet, work, and talk to many people of influence around the world, this taught me an early life lesson that your network is your net worth.
While enjoying all the perks of being a VIP member of all events in Georgia. At the age of 15, I started my first official corporation an investment firm as well as a payment processing company we provided the best credit processing rates as well as ATM fees in the market and had a good eye for investing in companies. We later sold that company due to my partner no longer wanting to continue.

Now I am the new CEO and co-founder of Ember Capital Group. A real estate investment firm also investing in startup companies our business model is simple we buy houses come in. At record time do simple maintenance and re-list the property back on the market we also buy houses and do short term/ Corporate rentals through Airbnb. What we’ve seen is just with one house on AirBNB we are seeing an average return of 60k per year. This is different from the subleasing arbitrage model a lot of people you see on Instagram are doing. Here we are taking investors and buying houses which allow us to not only Get revenue monthly through AirBNB but also build equity in real assets at the same time I’ve learned a lot through my entrepreneur journey I’ve faced some really tough times I always use my father’s story as inspiration. He came to this country as an immigrant and used to mop floors and clean gas station bathrooms. Now he owns millions of dollars in real estate. That truly inspires me and keeps me going as I know I live in the greatest country on earth where anything is possible if you are willing to work for it.

What’s one piece of advice you’d give yourself if you knew what you knew now and we’re just getting started?

I’d say the number one piece of advice I can give to others is to not listen to your naysayers often I see too many people have an idea and a plan of action but the first 5 people they show it to everyone proclaims that’s they know more than you and that this idea will never work. Don’t share your dreams with small-minded individuals with no experience!

What makes your business so unique and successful?

What’s made me so successful is that I’ve always been humble I’ve never charged someone to get information from me and I always share 100% of my knowledge with others for not even a penny. On top of this every year I donate very large portions of my money to areas I see fit. Before anything, I’m a human being just like anyone else I wish everyone out there nothing but success in all of there future endeavors most importantly follows me on Instagram at Shawn Surani where I share all of my tips and even show examples of my property’s for FREE.
