How to use Itraconazole 100mg capsule
You should take this medicine as per the direction given by your doctor. Take the Itraconazole capsule by mouth and swallow without chewing it.
Take this capsule 2 hours before or 1 hour after antacids because antacids may decrease the effectiveness of the medicine. Also, you should take this medicine with an acidic drink like cola if your stomach has low or no acid condition, which is also known as achlorhydria.
The dosage and length of treatment should be based on the current condition of infection. It is also based on how your body reacts to the effect of this medicine. Sometimes the treatment can be run in cycles like twice daily for 1 week, then giving 3 weeks break, and continue for 1 week again.
For the best results and effect, you should take this medicine at a fixed time every day, till the course ends. If you skip the dose, try to take it ASAP or skip the dose if you are close to the timing of your next dose.
Precautions:
Tell your doctor if you have allergy history related to antibiotics or other antifungal drugs.
