How it is not possible to be a foodie when you have uncountable yummy dishes to eat. In India food is available for every festival. So how can we leave Rakshabandhan apart from this? Like other festivals, the Indian kitchen is filled with a delicious aroma. Puri, kheer, sewai, gujiya, besan ke laddu, and many more. This year I thought that I will not only make rakhi for bhaiya bhabhi, but also their favorite dishes and also order online cakes in Delhi. I am going to share my menu for Rakshabandhan. Moong Dal Ka Halwa
Moong dal ka halwa is one of the most favorite desserts of Indians. This pudding is really very delicious. Here I am going to share its ingredients, so you can make it.
- Wet moong dal according to your preferences.
- Ghee
- Sugar
- Dry fruits
Method:
Just grind completely wet moong dal. Then stir it in ghee until it’s a color change. After sometimes add sugar in it. Let all ingredients mix completely, and when your color changes like this. Serve it with your favorite dry fruits.
Biryani
Biryani is one of the most loved dishes of Indians. Mostly Indians avoid non-veg on, this types of sacred days. So you can make it vegan also. This is one of my favorite dishes, I can eat at any time.
Mango Ice Cream
Rakshabandhan comes in mango season. So how, can my menu complete without mango ice cream? This ice cream so easy to make. Here is the ingredients list.
- Mango pulp according to your requirements
- Fresh cream or cream milk
- Sugar according to your taste
Method:
Mix the mango pulp, cream, and sugar together. Put it in the airtight container for cooling. And don’t forget to add a pinch of salt. Salt will enhance the taste. When it gets a little set, churn it again in the mixer grinder. This process will make the ice cream soft and creamy. Leave it in a deep fridge for solidifying.
Pani- Puri
Pani-puri is all-time favorite starters of every Indian. Without pani-puri, none of the wedding and outing is complete in India. So this Rakshabandhan pani-puri is the most important item on my menu. My whole family loves it so much. In fact, I am thinking about my family reaction after seeing pani-puri.
Gulab Jamun
Indian dessert and festivals are incomplete without Gulab jamun. This dessert is every Indian favorite. This dessert is easy to make also. If you are also thinking then here are the ingredients.
- Mawa according to the pieces you want
- Sugar
- Ghee or refine oil for frying
- Refine flour
Method:
Make a dough of mawa by adding refined flour in it. Make a small laddu of the dough. Then fry it until it changes like this color, light brown. Don’t over fry it, otherwise, its taste becomes bitter. Then add this Gulab Jamun in the sugar syrup. Remember one thing sugar syrup should be at room temperature. If it will hot, then your Gulab jamun will break. Serve it with saffron or dry fruits, it all depends on you.
Paneer Tikka
Nobody can say no to the paneer tikka. Paneer tikka is the pride of the Indian kitchen and wedding. This is a starter, but people love it more than the main course. So this is definitely on my menu.

Last but not least dish in my menu is chat. This is my bhabhi's one of the most favorite food item. It tastes can make anyone crazy. After eating lots of sweet and salty dishes, this is the icing on the cake dish. Its sweet, salty, spicy, and tangy flavor can make anyone mouth watery.
