Everest Base Camp Trekking for Beginners and Duration

The stimulating mix of pure charisma, appealing culture, and private observation of triumph, together with affectionate Nepalese hospitality from the ethnic people in the Everest trekking, Everest Base Camp Trekking should be included in the list of the world's best trekking.

Everest Base Camp Trekking for Beginners and Duration

As an amateur trekker, I was pretty much worried about how would it be my Everest Base Camp Trekking. I was suggested to do Annapurna Poon Hill Trekking in the beginning, but I was quite confirmed about my trek. On the other hand, I was prepared for the EBC one with my budget.

I surfed on the internet who could organize the best of my trekking via a local trekking company. Everything was booked- my hotel in Kathmandu, sightseeing, Kathmandu to Lukla flight and shuttle transport. In the trek, I would get three meals- breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Besides this, if I want something, I was the one who would pay.

The extensive early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla was breathtaking and adventurous too. I found an amazing trip with the views of the gleaming Himalayan scenery. The first day, we went up to Phakding and took a rest.

"Good morning madam", I heard a gentle knock at my door. I was too sleepy and was getting late for breakfast. The next day, we crossed the steel bridge, move gradually, checked in at the Sagarmatha National Park counter, and got a permit. Namche Bazaar will be at your next stop.

Wow, what a bustling town in the Himalayas. It was crowded, but still, the Himalayas were charming on the horizon.  We took an acclimatization rest at Namche and explored around- Khumjung monastery, Khunde, and surroundings.

Moved out from there, I was feeling like a member of a caravan as the queue was long. April and October will be crazy on the Everest base camp trekking route. Tengboche monastery, Dingboche, Lobuche, and Gorakshep were other stops on the trekking.

Shall I tell you a secret about how the guides and other teams are so fit for walking? Try Dal Bhat. It got an amazing power and generates heat in your body, which reduces the chance of getting caught by the effect of thin air pressure. I tried Dal Bhat, ginger tea, hot soup, hot noodle soup, and many more. This is because; I really loved the spices and Dal Bhat. Oh well, my guide usually says Dal Bhat Power, 24 Hour. But, for me, it was 6 hours. A couple of times, I tried Pizza as well.

We went to the EBC on the same day when we reached Gorakshep and captured an amazing view of the tallest peak of the world- Mt. Everest. The next morning, we climbed to Kalapatthar and explored the prolonged beauty of the Everest wonders.

Descending is faster, but my legs were often trembling. Anyhow, I reached to Lukla and got mood to freshen.  The only thing is to wait for the flight, the next day.

Due to the weather, we had to wait 3 hours more. I was panicking, but I came to know that the weather issue is a common topic in Lukla. Anyway, I got back to Kathmandu. The next day, me and my guide, we had dinner at a cultured restaurant, Thamel.

What I recommend about the Everest Base Camp Trekking season are Spring and Autumn. If possible, especially for the beginners, book a trek for either April or October.

I spent 12 days of trekking in the Himalayas and in total 16 days in Nepal. I had 2 days break during the trekking, which is a great decision.
