Kanha and Bandhavgarh National Park tour (09 nights, 10 days)
Tap into the timelessness of the very forests that brought Rudyard Kipling’s ‘Jungle Book’ come to life. It is here that the amalgamation of grand Sal trees, bamboo forest and the fascinating animals it nurtures, that helps the wildlife coexist within this tranquil outback during Tiger safari in in India . An excursion through Kipling’s very own country will leave its viewer enchanted with the sights of Tigers, Sloth Bears, Wild Dogs and the hardground Barasingha, a swamp deer species which has brought back from the brink of extinction. Day 1/Sat : Arrive New Delhi (by flight)
On arrival at the International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative who will transfer you to the hotel. He will explain and handover all the travel related documents, and further assist you in check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel in New Delhi.
Day 2/Sun : New Delhi – Raipur - Kanha (flight + 200 kms/4-hour drive)
Early breakfast, and transfer to the airport in the morning to board a flight at 0640 hrs. Arrive in Raipur at 0820hrs. Meet our local driver at the airport and drive to Kanha National Park (220 km / 4-hour)
On arrival, check into the lodge. Post lunch, Head out for an afternoon jeep safari to the national park. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 3/Mon : In Kanha
Wake up before the crack of dawn with tea coffee and biscuits. Proceed for the morning jeep safari in the National park.
Kanha's sal and bamboo forests, rolling grasslands and meandering streams stretch over 940 sq km in dramatic natural splendor which form the core of the Kanha Tiger Reserve, established in 1974 under Project Tiger. The park is one of the habitats for rare hardground Barasingha (Cervus Duvaceli Branderi).
