Your trip will start from the cleanest and greenest city of India that is only Chandigarh. The exciting thing about Chandigarh is that it is the capital of two states that is Haryana and Punjab. During en route to Spiti in winters, you will be passing through the snow-covered roads, mountains, and valleys. Experiencing the subzero temperatures will be the bonus that you have never experienced till now. The stay on day one will be at the Narkanda, which is the beautiful place near Shimla where you can experience flora and fauna of this region. The second-day ride will start in the morning and the places you will visit Sangla, Rakcham, Chitkul. Chitkul is the last Indian village near the China border from the Himachal Pradesh side. On the day third, you will experience the majestic views if Kinnaur Valley, and your ride will be from Chitkul to Kalpa. Day four, you will spend time visiting Kalpa, Nako, Gue Mummy, Tabo. From fifth to the sixth day, you will visit Kaza with other attractions like Pin Valley, Key Monastery, Hikkim, Komik. On the second last day, you will be transferred to Kaza to Kalpa, and the conclusion day, your trip will end at Shimla. About the Location
Spiti Valley is situated in the northeastern part of Himachal Pradesh. It is a cold desert valley and located at an average elevation of 12,500 feet at the core Himalayas. The meaning of the name Spiti is- “The Middle Land.” The name of this valley is related to the geographical fact that it is in the middle between India and Tibet. The other interesting fact about this valley is - It is the least populated area in India. The population density is very low,i.e., 2 Inhabitants/ Square Kilometer. Earlier the whole region was divided into two parts as Lahaul district & Spiti district. Later they merged into one Lahaul-Spiti in 1960. The administrative headquarter of this region is Keylong. The whole area is stretched in 13,833 Sq. Km. 

High Himalayan mountains surround the whole area. The Kunzum Pass cuts off Lahaul and Spiti at the elevation of 15,059 feet above sea level, which makes it amazing. Here the dominant religion is Buddhism and is similar to Buddhism followed in Ladakh and Tibet. During Winters, Spiti remains cut off from the rest of India till eight months due to heavy snowfall and harsh climatic conditions. This area experiences snowstorms for some brief time, especially from November to June, but due to the efforts of the Border Road Organization again, roads were restored. How to Get in There 
By Road
The region is well connected by road to the major cities of India. The route remains open from May to November. From the Chandigarh, buses of Himachal Pradesh State Transport Services- HRTC available & some service providers also provide taxi services. Another way to reach Spiti is from Manali. There you will find government or private buses available, and also you can hire a private tourist taxi cabs. Another route is via Shimla.     

By Air 
The nearby Airport to reach Spiti is Chandigarh Airport, Jubbarhatti Airport near Shimla, and another one is Bhuntar Airport. The nearest one is Jubbarhati, Shimla. From all these airports you can hire private taxi cabs to reach Spiti. 

By Train
The nearest railway station is Chandigarh, which is connected with all major cities through a strong rail network. From there, you can rent a private tourist cab/tempo traveler/Innova.
